HIGHEST LEVEL OF STERILIZATION

According to public health experts, bacterial, fungal and viral infections can occur from using unsanitary nail implements, especially in salons, where the same implements are used on many people. Most states allow chemical sterilizing as long as the implements are immersed in the solution for at least 10 minutes between customers, however, autoclaving (heat sterilization) is the best method.

Nova: We use the AUTOCLAVE method in our salon to insure your peace of mind. Autoclaves use pressure to raise the boiling point of water to a temperature that kills bacteria, fungi, and salon-borne infections. This method is the highest level of sterilization available, and is employed in the medical field, but it is still relatively new in the nail salon industry due to its high cost.

FRESH WATER EVERYTIME! NEVER RECYCLED

The Center for Disease Control issued a warning on whirlpool foot baths due to their susceptibility to breeding bacteria. Typical large whirlpool spa-chairs have been shown to harbor bacteria in their water filtration systems, which use recycled water.

Nova: We have designed and built our own custom “SPA-CHAIRS” that do not use recycled water. As a result, you will never be subjected to re-circulated water or unclean filters that can cause bacterial infections. Additionally, each customer is given a fresh bowl of water for soaking their nails. After every service we disinfect our sinks and the surrounding areas thoroughly with disinfectants. Furthermore, throughout the day, we clean, disinfect and sanitize sinks and other sensitive parts of our facility with medical grade solutions to kill bacteria and prevent the spread of germs.

DISPOSABLE MANICURE/PEDICURE KIT

Salon-borne infections are on the rise, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Sources of infection can often be traced to equipment used at nail salons. When technicians use disposable nail implements, health risks are reduced, since tools are not shared among the general public.

Nova: We use individually packaged DISPOSABLE KITS, each containing a brand new sanding block, manicure stick and nail file, all of which are discarded at the end of the customer’s service. Customers never have to worry about sharing implements with other customers. If you would like to keep them, please let our technician know.

CONTINUOUS DISINFECTION OF SINKS, TABLETOPS, AND FACILITY

Is the facility clean and well ventilated?

Nova: We’re ultra cautious when it comes to HYGIENE and SANITATION practices. We use effective hospital grade solutions to wipe down our surroundings and to kill germs and bacteria throughout the day. Furthermore, our products and treatments are all NATURAL and NON-ACRYLIC. With non-toxic polishes combined with an extensive ventilation system, Nova Nail Spa minimizes that “paint-shop” smell associated with the traditional nail salons.
